One of the most effective abdominal exercises are hanging leg raises!

WHY?

Performing hanging leg raises and progressing with this exercise will assist in increasing your strength and stability on major compound lifts such as the squat and deadlift.

When we look at abdominal strength it is an important component to the execution of almost every athletic movement. Strong abdominals play a stabilizing role in weight training.
We all love weight training, but we must understand weight training, by it’s very nature, places significant stress on your spinal column and thus it is important that in your program that you allocate time to decompress and stretch the spine. Hanging leg raisers are great for spinal articulation. Which we lose when we constantly focus on barbell movements alone, our bodies love movement!
